Time-Tested Indoor Airsight Cameras: XX51A & XX69A

Last updated on September 20, 2017 by Sozo Staff Leave a Comment

The Home Security branch of the X10 family is definitely related to the Home Automation branch.  Both incorporate the same smart X10 concept, and the two systems can be integrated and combined with one another. Today we’re going to focus on X10 Home Security, though — and the ever-expanding world of X10 Wifi-enabled Airsight Cameras. Each Airsight Camera model has its own catalog of impressive features that stay true to X10 basics such as user-friendly setup, smartphone connectivity, and amazing durability. These cameras offer remote access that can meet your household’s needs for Home Security as well as child monitoring and intercommunication.

Each of the five basic Indoor Airsight Cameras from X10 offers its own unique benefits; today we’ll take a snap shot of the first two models, helping you determine which one will most effectively meet your home security needs.

Indoor Airsight Camera Features

Before we dive into the features particular to each of the five indoor camera models, let’s talk a little more about a few that are common to all of them.

• First, they all include light sensors, making them suitable for any time of day, even when your home is unattended and lights are off.
• Second, they provide potential for 2-way communication with their sensitive microphones and clear speakers, making them great for use as intercoms or child monitors.
• Third, the X10 app can be programmed to notify you when the motion sensors of any indoor camera have been activated; alternatively, they can be set up to allow you to see continuous live video feed from the camera.

XX51A Indoor X10 WiFi Airsight Camera

XX51A: Our Most Basic Indoor Airsight Camera

The most basic Indoor Airsight Camera Model offered currently is the XX51A. Like its outdoor counterpart, the XX52A, it is equipped with Easy Scan QR setup, making it as simple to set up as downloading an app to your phone and snapping a photo.

Once it’s set up, it will offer you remote pan-and-tilt features that, depending on where you have it set up, could allow you to view an entire room. You can purchase both the XX51A Indoor Camera along with the XX52A Outdoor Camera in a money-saving bundle.

XX69A Indoor X10 WiFi Airsight Camera

XX69A: Similar Design with Added Features

A step up from the XX51A, the XX69A Airsight Indoor Wireless Camera offers the same Easy Scan QR setup and pan-and-tilt potential, along with the added potential to stream 720p HD video to your Android or Apple device as well as to record that video on your phone as well as to back it up on an SD card inserted into the device.

The back-up feature can allow you to store up to 24 days of constant video footage along with the option of recording video only when the camera’s motion detector has been signaled. The XX69A Camera can be purchased individually, or in conjunction with the XX51A.
