Storing Digital Books on a Flash Drive

Last updated on January 14, 2011 by Sozo Staff Leave a Comment

Vacations are a godsend for a lot of people, what with forty plus work weeks, kids’ school schedules, and the dog’s irregular bladder resulting in many late night backyard walks and numerous scrubbed spots on the carpet. It’s no wonder that people want to relax and escape the everyday when they take off for the week. To do this, people will try to get as far away from home as possible or as far away as they are financially able.

Some people will drive down to the beach where they lay in the sun all day reading their good books, or they travel to an airport that will take them to whatever destination is calling their name. Most of the time, people read books while waiting for their plane or even on the plane itself.

When you have hours to kill and are a fast reader, this can be a problem. In order to keep yourself occupied and entertained reading, you have to pack a few books with you, which takes up room. Technology is quickly making this less of a problem for people, though.

Paper books are being pushed onto the back burner as ebooks are making their way to the front. Amazon has the Kindle. Barnes and Noble has the Nook. Borders has the Kobo. Each of which offer best sellers, new releases, and a whole slew of other books available for purchase and download. This makes reading, or at least carrying around, several books at once less of a hassle. Speaking from experience, they are very convenient, but very pricey, too – a price you might not want to pay.

Many people carry around their laptops, though. It can be a lifesaver at the airport when a flight is delayed or an extra week at the beach is deemed necessary at the last minute. If not prepared, some people will be left with fully completed books before the vacation is over. They’ll have to buy a new book or risk being bored on a two hour flight. The great thing about the invention of the ereader is that books are now available online. People will still have to purchase them, but the the ebooks are usually cheaper than their paper counterparts.

But what if there is no available internet connection to hop online and buy these books? No problem. Download your ebooks to your custom CFgear flash drive before you go anywhere. Then you will have your entire library, if you wish, with you at all times. You can plug it into your laptop and pick up right where you left off on the new release you downloaded. Some of the new smart phones even have USB ports on them where you can plug your flash drive in and bring up your library. Most phones have applications that can be downloaded onto the phone that allows the person to read their books.

Don’t get stuck somewhere wishing you had a book to read. Don’t leave home without your personal library on the CFgear flash drive. It could make all the difference when you’ve got hours to kill.
