Rehmeyer Wood Floors – 3 Terms We Hold Dear

Last updated on October 7, 2015 by Sozo Staff Leave a Comment

Rehmeyer Wood Floors is certainly not opposed to new technology; after all, we provide virtual tours of our mill and love uploading new photos and customer reviews of our work. But the work itself, we do by hand. In a day when shelves are lined with identical items and sometimes houses can be distinguished from one another only by addresses, we still provide hand-tooled, one-of-a-kind workmanship in creating wood floors.

What “Custom” Means

Our Custom Collections provide numerous options, and our Extreme Custom approach provides the ultimate in flexibility. Our customers get to choose from a variety of wood species, plank widths, and accent colors, along with several additional options, making sure each floor that we create is truly unique.

When we start with real wood that has grain patterns and other character markings, we start with a one-of-a-kind creation that we aim to properly display. Our Extreme Custom flooring is for those who desire the most distinctive flooring; we provide ideas to fuel your creativity, but nothing is out of the question. Perhaps it’s something we’ve never considered, but we’re always willing to give something new a try.

What “Authentic” Means

When we use the term “authentic,” as in our Authentic Hand Scraped Collection, we mean it literally — as in actually scraped, by hand, using hand tools (not power tools). And we do it one board at a time.

We apply an Accent Color, sand, and scrape, using our own special techniques that we’ve honed over the years.

Real, live craftsmen run their hands over each board of your floor several times before you see the finished products.

As a result, you’ll notice no repetitive “distressing” marks; each individual mark is authentically produced by hand. Real, authentic hands. Real, hand-worked beauty.

What “Service” Means

Just as each individual board is uniquely and individually handled, here at Rehmeyer Wood Floors, each customer is provided with exceptional, personalized service.

We’re not a huge manufacturing plant; we’re a small business that cares about our local community and values each individual customer. To us, you’re more than a stream of revenue; you’re part of our family. We take the time to talk with you and find out exactly what you’re looking for in a floor.

We ask about your decorating scheme, your budget, your plans for the room. We want to know exactly what you want and help you understand what we have to offer. We know this kind of service still matters to people, and we hope it’s enough to get the conversation started.

We know different companies define terms their own way. Here at Rehmeyer, we’re pretty traditional about our definitions, as we are about our values and our workmanship.
