Perforated Metal Screens and Panels in Industrial Sectors

Last updated on October 20, 2010 by Sozo Staff Leave a Comment

The uses for perforated metal products are endless. To punch holes into a piece of material ranging from foil to steel can allow for precise acoustic sound aspects; design, sign, and architectural pieces; and even the filtration of solids from a liquid.

Imagine the process that is involved when filtering waste products from a water source at a filtration plant. It must involve some type of large screen to catch the waste. The screen must be strong enough to catch the waste, yet provide holes appropriately spaced to allow the liquid water to pass.

Hendrick Screening Company is widely regarded as a leading manufacturer in perforated metal and can custom design a screen to fit the needs of the plant. The perforated metal screen can be developed to fit the size of the plant’s filtration needs. It can also be developed out of aluminum or steel materials up to .750″ thick. There is also the option of the screen to be curved or flat, depending on the individual customer’s needs. Their angles can be adjustable and even feature a type of observation window.

The holes can be perforated at a certain size and even certain distances apart. Holes can be perforated ranging in size from 0.10″ to 6.0″. A drawing with the customer’s specifications could be created and viewed before ordering. A customer can even take advantage of Hendrick’s online drawing tool on their website. It will give them several different standard hole pattern options. With over 1,400 individual tool combinations, many different designs or engineering specifications could be met.

Sewage plants and paper mills could take advantage of these types of custom perforated metal filtration screens to design one that would be optimal to their needs. Fruit, vegetable, fish, poultry, and meat processing plants would also benefit from many of Hendrick’s custom designed products.

For the environmentally-friendly filtration companies that are attempting to achieve LEED credits or certification, Hendrick can also help. Since their products contain post industrial and post consumer recycled content, filtration companies can take advantage of not only their quality perforated steel screens and building products, but also their environmentally-friendly aspect as well.
