I Spy Those Kids With X10 Video Cameras

Last updated on June 10, 2008 by Sozo Staff Leave a Comment

As I sit here typing, two of my boys (ages 2 and 4) are playing quietly in their room. “Quietly” is the key word here! As much as I enjoy the peace, what in the world are they getting into? In the past we’ve had experiences with vaseline, nail polish, baby powder, water and more.

Some days I wish I could be a little tiny fly on the wall and see what they’re doing and record those memories and special moments that just don’t happen when mom is watching! Now as I hear the door closing, I’m really wishing to be that fly!

As I sit here listening to the upstairs, I have The Home Automation Store website up. Have you seen the neat and nifty gadgets they have out there?!  Wow! The XCam2 WideEye Video Camera looks great! The camera is small enough to fit in the palm of my hand but yet it gives a 120° line of site! The picture is actually in color and can be broadcast to either the TV or the VCR. Imagine, I could actually record some time of the boys playing and it’d be completely natural because Mom wasn’t in the room holding a camera that they thought they had to wave to!

There is a remote, the X10 ScanPad Camera Remote Control, that can be used in conjunction with this camera and others, so I could also put one in the baby’s room, so I could switch back and forth easily between views! In fact, the remote control can be used in conjunction with 16 X10 home automation products (including lights, and appliances) so it’s more of a justifiable purchase in my way of thinking.

Oh my, I just found the X10 Ninja Pan & Tilt Camera Mount too! With this you can use a remote to move your camera and view 240°! How fun is that?!

Here’s the best news of all, all of these items are on sale right now! The WideEye Video Camera is on sale for just $49.99, the ScanPad Remote is just $9.99 and the tilt mount is $39.99! I think I’d better email my husband, I’m liking The Home Automation Store and all its goodies!
