‘Tis almost the season for holiday shopping! If someone you love owns a pool, here are some great gift ideas that are sure to make a big splash. Or perhaps you’re a pool owner. If so, you can share this list with your family and friends who are wondering what kinds of pool-related items you’re hoping to find under the Christmas tree this year.

Decorations for the Pool and Patio Area

Pool décor is a great choice for someone who is new to pool ownership or who has had the same look for a long time and is hoping to add some pizzazz to their backyard oasis. There are a whole host of options to consider. For example, you could purchase some cute pool signs, a personalized pool mat, or even a new snazzy chaise lounge or other poolside furniture. Decorative statuary, pots, and planters for the patio are another terrific option. Make sure to keep the unique style preferences of the person you’re buying for in mind, as well as the amount of space they have available.

Pool Storage and Organization Solutions

If you know someone who struggles with finding a place to keep all of their pool accessories, such as toys, pool noodles, and other floats, a pool storage bin or shed would make a great gift idea. Another great idea for a pool organization gift would be hooks or racks they can fasten to a backyard fence for hanging up wet towels or life jackets.

Pool Floats

There’s a whole host of fun pool floats currently on the market that would make an ideal gift for anyone who owns a pool. They come in a variety of creative shapes, styles, and sizes, such as unicorns, whales, tubes, and even half-eaten cookies or slices of pizza! If your pool owner friend has little children, cute and colorful kiddie floats that can help keep little ones up on the surface of the water will be greatly appreciated. Oversized rafts with cup holders are the perfect gift for encouraging some serious backyard recreation and relaxation.

Pool Exercise Equipment

If you know someone who enjoys working out in the pool, why not give them a gift that aligns with that activity? For example, you could get them some water weights, pool noodles, a water belt, swim training gloves, or water resistance fins. If you’re looking for bigger pieces of equipment, consider underwater aerobic steps, an aqua pole, or even an underwater bike or exercise glider. Your fitness-loving friend will appreciate your thoughtfulness. If you choose to go this route for your gift-giving this year, be sure to purchase equipment that’s specifically designed for use in pools. Regular exercise equipment may not be waterproof or able to withstand constant exposure to pool chemicals.

As you can see, there are a whole host of wonderful gift ideas for the pool owners in your life. In our next article we’ll take a look at some other options you may want to consider purchasing this holiday season.
